So much for any support for McCain in the Latino community.
Latino are not stupid they will not support McCain when he has shown two faced support of them when they needed it the most. They won't forget it.
They may have supported Hillary Clinton and rightly so. The Clinton's did excellent work for the Latino's and the times were good. But they weren't against Obama.
They voted for someone they knew. Now that they are beginning to understand Obama, they realize they have a new friend in Obama.
Obama recieved a very warm and friendly welcome at the NALEO conference.
They were repeat standing ovations and rapturious friendly shoutouts.
his was a complete differemce from the tepid but polite welcome that McCain recieved. Then ofcourse they were the hecklers.
''John McCain struggled to get through his opening remarks to a group of Latino officials after three individuals interrupted his speech with shouted denunciations.
McCain reacted with good cheer the first time, smiling and pausing after a woman repeatedly screamed "we want a peace candidate."
"Well, that's a familiar voice to me," McCain said with a smile.
After he sought to begin his remarks again, the woman again started shouting.
The crowd sought to drown her out with cheers and claps, but the heckler continued to shout.
"It's a long trip out," McCain observed to laughs, as the woman was escorted out of the back of the room.
The candidate was less amused the second time when another woman unfurled a red banner and began screaming in Spanish''.
